Description:

If you love the shabby chic style, anything vintage or antique, cottage style, Edwardian, old French flea markets, rococo, anything sweet and girly, frilly, candy or pastel colors, anything tiny, cute kitschy, millinery, haberdashery, muted colors, tattered, torn, chippy, and rusty. This swap may be for you! We will send our partner an inspiration kit filled with items in these themes. I realize some of the themes may be complete opposites (kitsch vs. shabby chic), but I wanted to encompass as much of these girly styles as possible.

Edit: I have lowered the minimum number of items from 10 to 6. Hopefully this will be cheaper and easier to assemble. You're welcome to send items from your stash, as well as purchase items if need be.

If anything is unclear pls leave a comment, and I'll try to clarify. I'm sorry, at the moment this is US only. If you're international and want to host your own version pls feel free. Otherwise, I will host one when this swap is complete.

Requirements to join:

  • Min. 4.9 rating
  • At least 5 packaged swaps rated
  • No recent unexplained ratings of 1 or 3

I will check profiles, ban anyone who may be questionable, and angel if necessary.

Rules:

  • Send 1 partner an inspiration kit filled with items in the theme of our swap.
  • Must send at least 6 different items. If sending something small and loose like buttons please send a fair amount, and it counts as 1 item.
  • Wrap your items up nicely.
  • At least 3 items need to be authentic vintage (you can find stuff at thrift stores, antique shops, estate and garage sales, Ebay, Etsy, etc.). Handmade and vintage inspired items are fine too. But they must go with the swap's theme.
  • Please send nice and thoughtful items. No junk!

ETA: This is sender's choice, but please review your partner's profile to see what interests them or what to avoid sending. You can always contact your partner asking for ideas or suggestions if you are unsure.

Ideas on what to send: Anything vintage, ribbon, lace, old hankies, thrifted floral sheets, buttons, beads, glitter, ornaments, tiny decorations, old sheet music, ledger paper, vintage wallpaper or wrapping paper, anything chippy or with patina, shabby millinery flowers, cabochons, cameos, broken jewelry, vintage aprons, small tins/boxes, crepe paper rosettes, old postcards, letters, cabinet cards, skeleton keys, etc.
