This swap is closed

This is a random question, but is it an internet thing to put a slash in words that are contractions. i.e. I\\'m or I\\'ll or We\\'ll?

I\\'ve noticed this a lot on this website. Just curious...

can this be an e mail swap or strictly a snail mail-printed photo swap?

I think it\'s the way the site is written. It could just be a code. Nothing you can change---It\'s just a little weird to see. I just thought it was an internet thing that I\'m not hip on... :P No worries!
