Description:

2018 is nearly here, and one of the big things I like to do as I'm setting up my Bullet Journal for the new year is to ask myself questions. Often, we focus on resolutions, but equally as often, those fall short before January is over. I've found that by reflecting on the year just past, I can better set goals for the new year!

For this swap, hand write your partner a letter (at least one sheet of letter set, front and back, or one page of A4/8.5x11 paper) discussing some of your 2018 goals, and enclose your responses to the following reflection questions (these may be typed).

Hopefully this exercise will help you feel a bit accountable for what you'd like to accomplish in the new year, as well as give you a clearer picture of what you need to do to get there!

The Questions

  1. What am I most proud of this year?

  2. How can I become a better _____________?

  3. Where am I feeling stuck?

  4. Where do I need to allow myself grace?

  5. Am I passionate about my career?

  6. What lessons have I learned?

  7. What did I my finances look like?

  8. How did I spend my free time?

  9. How well did I take care of my body, mind, and soul?

  10. How have I been open-minded?

  11. When did I feel most creatively inspired?

  12. What projects have I completed?

  13. How have I procrastinated?

  14. In what ways can I re-structure my time?

  15. How have I allowed fear of failure hold me back?

  16. Where has self-doubt taken over?

  17. When have I felt the most alive?

  18. How have I taught others to respect me?

  19. How can I improve my relationships?

  20. Have I been unfair to anyone?

  21. Who do I need to forgive?

  22. Where is it time to let go?

  23. What old habits would I like to release?

  24. What new habits would I like to cultivate?

  25. How can I be kind to myself?

In a Nutshell

  • One handwritten letter, at least one sheet of letterset (front and back to = 2 pages) or one page of A4/8.5x11 stationery, discussing your goal(s) for 2018.

  • Answer the questions above (may be typed or handwritten, your choice) to reflect on 2017 and see what you can do better, or keep on doing, for 2018! Please avoid one word answers. The purpose of this exercise is to get you thinking and reflecting on the year gone by, as well as the year to come!

Administrivia

  • One handwritten letter and one typed or handwritten questionairre with your responses, to one partner.

  • Include your username and swap name somewhere on the swap!

  • Send on time, rate promptly. If you're going to be late, communicate with myself and your partner. Late sends without communication perfectly warrant a 3. Flaking, as well as not rating, will have you removed from the group.

  • And of course, I will angel on the off-chance that someone gets flaked on.

Feel free to DM or leave questions in the comments!

@Sternenfee - Aw that's too bad, but I totally understand! I just moved this year myself. I hope your move is quick and uneventful and that you settle in quickly to your new home. :)

Ok...questions already answered. I think it's really what I needed right now. (And my stationery is what I still don't have in boxes)
