Description:

For those of you who are just starting to test out the washi waters or have been at it awhile, this is the swap for you. :)

We will be making a washi card for each of our 2 partners to brighten their day. Therefore, please write a hello note inside the cards. You don't have to write a book, but please make it more than "hi, here is the swap."

Fine Details:

  • Grab a few rolls of washi tape or some of the samples you've received lately
  • Lay some strips side by side on a piece of card stock.
  • In my swap photo, I put my strips diagonally and then added a stamped "hello" saying in the corner. As not all washi tape is created equal as far as stickiness goes, please fold your tape edge around to the back of the layer and then adhere the layer to a folded card base.
  • Feel free to use a similar design or come up with one of your own. Adding a stamped greeting is optional. If you want to do all strips with no greeting, that's fine too. Sometimes they look pretty just as they are.
  • Decorate the front of your envelope with washi tape.
  • Include 4 random washi tape samples for your partner to play with. Wrap 9 times around a playing card.

Once you try a simple washi card, you may be inspired to create a few more and maybe even a few more. :) They can be used for pen pal cards, swap cards, etc.

Lastly, anyone can join. By doing so, though, you are telling me that you are making a commitment to send on time and rate promptly. We want it to be fun for all.
