Description:

We all tend to take care of others during the day. If you are like me, you neglect yourself. I definitely know that I should take care of myself, but I often feel like I do not have time. This swap came from my feelings of stress experienced each day.

This swap does have some degree of flexibility. This way, if you are not comfortable making something or finding something to send that fits a specific category...you can always find something else to send.

The first item will be a set of index cards or a small notebook filled with little things that we can look at through the day. Some ideas for the cards would be (you will put one thing on each card or page): quote, funny saying or picture, a comic strip, a cute picture, affirmations, coping strategies, something from a magazine, etc, etc. You will need to send at least 30 cards. A small notebook would also work as they make the small notebooks that are about the size of notecards. Decorate each card and make sure that it is something nice that you would want for yourself.

The last 2 items will be sender's choice but they must fit into the criteria of being something that you can use to relax. You could send a guide to meditation, yoga poses, inspirational quotes. You could send a candle or some body lotion. You could send a coloring book or puzzle book. Etc. Etc. You can make these items, you can buy them or you could make one and buy one.

international.

4.8 rating or higher. newbies would need completed profile.

I gave some time so that we can send a quality package to our partner. Send only something you would like yourself. Total cost should be under $15

I am excited about this swap. I found something neat yesterday for the 'bought' part, and I look forward to making the cards. I've been wanting to do that for a long time! Thanks for hosting this swap dukiegal!

I'm really curious to know what other people are making/giving for this swap. It would be fun to post what we get after everyone receives. I can see this swap continuing every so often as a series - we could add to our kit as time progresses!

that's a great idea. Maybe a forum thread too where we can post a list of our favorite/most helpful sayings from the index cards so everyone can benefit from eachother's.
