Description:

I love journaling and have tried the range from neat bullet journals to messy art journals. My favourite style lies somewhere in between. There are so many different layouts and themes to be inspired by. This swap is for you if you want to share your own style or be inspired to try something out of your regular comfort zone.

The theme of this swap is to fit with the month of January, so can include anything to do with resolutions, aspirations, celebrations, new beginnings, growth, etc. As it is an international swap, winter/summer items are not appropriate.

Edited to add: Chinese New Year (the Year of the Rat) and Australia day are at the end of January, any celebrations you might add to your own journal can be included. You might discover something new which you hadn't considered including in a layout before!

Choose items that you would be happy to use in your own journal. You must include:

  • a handmade journal card to fit the theme, no smaller than ATC size. No sticker slapping - consider it as an oversized ATC but with a blank/ruled back side.

  • a good number of at least 3 different type of item which could include, but is not limited to: washi samples (12 inch minimum each), die cuts, ephemera, decorated quotes to fit the theme, stamps, shaped or embellished paperclips, tags or other inserts, stickers (full sheet or at least 10 flakes), paper samples (no smaller than 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches), store bought or handmade embellishments, journal cards (either handmade, digitally downloaded and printed, or store bought), etc. So for example, 3 washi samples, 3 themed quotes, and 10 paper samples, in addition to the handmade journal card.

Senders choice, based on what you would use in your own journal, to fit the the theme. Include a note to your partner telling them something about your journal experiences or style, maybe including links to things or people which inspire you.

  • No recent unexplained 1s or 3s.

  • Must have completed at least 10 type 3 swaps.

  • Will angel after sufficient time allowed and partners contacted with no response.
