Description:

Hello again! I hope you all enjoyed Decembers Swap Your Shop.

I'd love to do it again.

... What a great way to show off your online shop! Etsy, Avon, Pink Papaya, or whatever you sell... Time to show it off. This swap will give you a chance to let people see how awesome your product is! OR, if you don't have a shop, but would like to start one in the future... Show us what you WOULD sell in your shop.

... What to send? I'd like each of the items sent to have a value of $5 to $10. What to include in your package? Remember, you're showing off your shop, so make it look good! A business card, a note, personalize the product for your swap partner by checking their profile (maybe you'll get some hearts this way!), cute packaging, how about a coupon for a discount on their next purchase, and maybe an extra little gift. Of course that is all optional, but you're showing off your business. Make it look good!

... I recommend personalizing your profile so your swap partners will know a little bit about you! Include your shop/blog links too!

... All Newbies are welcome to join, but need to have a filled out profile (links to your shop or flickr accounts are nice to have too!). If you have already participated in a swap, a 4.8 or higher rating is required. Along with zero "no sends" in the last 6 months. Any questionable ratings will be removed. If something happens that you can not complete the swap, please withdraw before the sign up date. Once the swap is closed you are considered as committed. This is an international swap.

NOTE: Samples will not count as shop items. Shop items will need to be an actual product that can be sold in your shop. Samples can be sent, but as an additional goody to a shop product.

If something comes up and you are worried about sending, please DO NOT flake! Contact your partners and me to let them know you will be late. Remember this is your business you are representing, and these could be future customers.

I can't wait to do this! It's on my watchlist! :D

What if I have a business where I send vintage clothing? This may be a bit difficult for me to swap due to styles/sizes etc. But I want to participate...!

badgerlore, maybe you could send a shawl/scarf/wrap (most any accessory, actually) --something that isn't size-dependent. Another option would be to contact your partner and ask them about their size. One of my partners in the Dec swap had 3 businesses and contacted me to ask which of the 3 I would prefer that she swap. Will join this one as soon as I have an opening!

Great ideas Thistlecraft, for badgerlore! All those would work great. Any accessory: brooch, scarf, shawl, wraps... I think any of those would be great!

I don't have a shop but I have a craft stall where I sell handmade cards, jewellery, would this count even though it is not online?

PaperLadyInvites 02/ 3/2009 #

Yes, it definitely would!
