Returning Swappers If you have a book from the previous swap fill out and send it to your partner. For new participants read below.
New Participants To start, find a light soft cover book with about 30 pages. The book should be no larger than A5. Traveler’s notebook inserts would be perfect.
The first person starting the book will decorate the cover however they choose.
Inside the front cover write your name, address (so they can return the book when it is full) and your swap-bot name.
On 1-3 pages write a bit about your day, your location, something about the weather. You may decorate the page if you wish. Add a photo, a drawing if you wish, and tape in with washi or staple. Use only pens that do not bleed onto the next page, please. Don't forget to date your entry. You may add extras for your partner but aren’t required to.
When your page(s) are done, send the book onto your partner.
That partner will then wait for the next swap in this series and fill out their page(s) and send on to their partner and so on.
Once the book is full, the last person to write in the book will send it to the owner of the book and start a new book
The entire process then starts again.
At the end, when you receive your book, you will have a book full of stories from around the country.
Additional Info Some have asked before if they can make a book. Yes you can if you want to. But make sure it is fairly thin, max 30 pages to write on and no bigger than A5 size. Think about the weight of the book and the cost of sending it around the world. Be creative.
Questions? Please message me.
Please keep the books to A5 or smaller and no heavy hardcover or spiral bound books please. Be considerate of others who will have to pay for postage to send the book in each round.
Must have a well filled out profile and no recent 1s or 3s.
When you join, enter your province in the comment section. I'd be fun to get a book with all provinces, wouldn't it! When you're notebook is received mention that in the comments, too.
