Description:

Welcome to the 2021 series of Micro Fiction Swaps! All skill levels, abilities and seriousness levels welcome! There will be a new round of this swap every third week this year. (one week on, two weeks off)

For this swap, you will write a piece of Micro Fiction (LESS THAN 100 WORDS) using the assigned prompt, write it ON A POSTCARD, and mail it off to your partner! Please include the swap name and your username as well.

The prompt for this round is: FATIGUED

NEW THIS YEAR:

If you would like feedback on your writing, please make note of that on the card as well. If you receive a swap with this intention, please send the writer a brief note with your feedback on their writing. This isn't a swap requirement, so feel free to continue on as before if you don't want the feedback, but the option is there if you so choose.

BORING BUT IMPORTANT DETAILS:

-You are welcome to handwrite or type and glue your piece, just make sure that if it is typed and glued to the card that it's secure and won't come off in the mail.

-Postcards are to be sent naked and stamped.

-All languages and subject matters are welcome, just make sure your partner speaks/can read the language you write in and is okay with any extreme subject matter before sending.

-Please don’t use previously written material or excerpts from larger works or books you may have written. The point of this swap series is to exercise and stimulate creativity through new prompts and stories in each round, and subbing in previously written works defeats that purpose. This also isn’t the time or place for self promotion or book sales- please refrain from including any overtly promotional materials, discount codes, or anything similar on your postcard.

-This swap is open to anyone rated 4.8 and higher and is Newbie friendly! I will however remove you from the swap if you have any unexplained 3’s newer than 6 months, 1’s newer than a year, or without a well filled-out profile. If I do have to remove you, I will let you know why and I would be more than willing to let you back in or include you in a future round if the reason is explained or fixed, but it’s case dependant.

-Please let me know if you don’t receive something- I will try to angel whenever I can and will contact those who don’t send by the deadline, but I won’t be monitoring for flakers so you do need to let me know if you need an angel. Please keep in mind that this is an international swap and mail is extremely slow in some places right now, so postcards from some countries could take up to a few months to arrive.

-And, as always, please contact me with any questions, queries, or qu-oncerns!

Have fun everyone, and happy writing!
