Description:

For this swap you will create an apron for 1 partner. Review your partner's profile and try your best to make an apron they will really enjoy wearing. For example, if they enjoy retro kitchen items make them a cute retro-style apron like you might find at Anthropologie.com. Get as creative as you can! Once you sign up, please post your size below. GUIDELINES: 1. Apron must be washable 2. It must be handmade to some extent (you can pre-purchase an apron & embellish it) Earn a Heart By Sewing it Yourself 3. Make sure you know your partner's size. (Email or PM them if they have not posted their size below.) 4. The minimum value should be $5- but who can put a value on handmade items?

** www.AllHeartChefs.com / Wal-Mart / Craft Stores are great places to find inexpensive pre-made aprons ready for you to embellish ** ** www.Ehow.com & www.DIYNetwork.com are good sources for how-to instructions for making all kinds of aprons. (search for "retro apron" or "denim apron" for example) ** This is a site with directions for converting a skirt into an apron http://www.shasta.com/suesgoodco/newcivilians/womenswear/aprons.htm ** NO Flaker's Please! This is a swap for those of us who genuinely enjoy creating thoughtful gifts for others. I have included plenty of time for you to complete your project. You MUST have a 4.5 rating or above, 5 completed swaps and NO no-sends within 3 months.

Open to US and Canada only (shipping fees have just gotten so high!) Contact me if you have questions. Hope you enjoy the swap!

count me in! I wear a size 4-6, like half aprons...love ones without pleats....sort of bistro style. I love applique! More info on my profile as I join many apron swaps.

I'm a size 4-6, love half and full aprons, retro is cool, I don't care for black aprons, read my profile for more info. : ) Thanks!

I'm a well fed cook so I'm closer to the size 20 lol I LOVE half aprons, The full ones make me loove a bit too frumpy. My kitchen is in tones of White, Red, Silver and Black if that helps :) I can't wait for this swap!!!

What a great swap! I'm very excited. I am about a size 8 (medium) but quite short. I think I would prefer a full apron, because I'm a bit of a slob when I cook and it is more practical. My kitchen is blue and yellow, but I would be happy with anything - I promise! :-)

I'm a size 4-6 and I love tiny floral, bold, and vintage children's prints. I also love applique. I'm so excited about this swap!

I wear a sz 20 & i like extra long ties. I don't have a preference of full or half. I am renovating my kitchen in cobalt, orange, and green, but I like aprons in many different styles/colors. The colors I like are listed on my profile.

I wear a size extra large. I would also prefer a full apron cause I really get into my baking. LOL like. I am up for any colour except for green though. I have an apron my best friend made for me that is tie-dye blues and tie-dyed reds. I love it. She thinks it is hideous LOL. So you can see I'm pretty much up for anything and will love anything that you send. If you can't do a full I won't complain about a half. I cannot wait to start making an apron for my partner. Sorry for the ramble.LOL

I'm in! I wear size 3/4. I don't have any full aprons, so if my partner makes them that would be awesome, although I will be just as happy with a half! I like the strings longer to tie in front ( my 2 year old likes to untie them in the back) again, if not something my partner does than o.k. I'm happy with prints or solids, love pockets!

Hi, I love full aprons and wear about a size 16 or so. I enjoy a vintage look.

shelleerenee 03/14/2009 #

I wear a size 20. Half or full is fine with me. However if you chose full, I'd prefer plenty of chest coverage (I'm full busted and the skinny bibs always leave my shirts exposed). I like spring colors. Pockets would also be great. Thanks!

aussiesheela 03/19/2009 #

I wear a small-medium and I love cats and little food characters! Wearing an apron thats adorable would most definitely put me more in the cooking mood! I like half aprons with pockets! full aprons kind of make me look old and frumpy haha!

mlookyloo1 03/23/2009 #

hi I wear a large full or a half is ok so just have fun

Zuckerbaby 03/23/2009 #

I am size 22. I like full aprons and pockets. My kitchen linens are bright yellow with orange and brown accents.

herbovitz 03/23/2009 #

I wear a size 8/10. I like bold, retro prints. My kitchen is yellow and cornflower, but the apron doesn't have to be. I really like half aprons, but I want my partner to make what they're the most comfortable with!

WarLordsWife 03/24/2009 #

I wear a 14-16, I would like a full apron, I always get stuff all over me when I cook. I love blues, teal especially. My kitchen is cobalt blue, cream, & yellow. But, I would be happy with any spring colors. I love small florals.
