Description:

This journal series was started by Cindi and I’m continuing the rounds. You can join as many as you like and you may jump in at any time.

You will have 1 partner and this swap is International. You only need to send a few sheets of paper, not a whole journal. This way we can share and write and enjoy - and not break the bank! :) (Given the state of the mail these days, though, I highly encourage you to take a photo or keep another type of copy of the swap in case it gets lost in the mail and needs to be re-sent.) Page size is 8.5 x 11 or A4 in size Try not to use margins over .75"-1 inch so you have plenty of room for writing.

This swap can be typed or handwritten - sender's choice. You may add a bit of decoration, but it shouldn't take up too much of the paper - this is a WRITING swap, after all. And, of course, you want to give your partner something to READ! :) Pages can be neatly folded and mailed as a regular letter, though.

And, you can start on it now, if you wish. It's not really partner specific or time specific.

There are 4 sections to this swap. As long as you use size A4 or regular 8.5"x 11" paper. Please use this size paper. But for the number of pages I've removed that restriction. You can make the journal entries as long or short as you like.

If you only want to write a short section or you want to write a long entry that is sort of how it is in a journal. There are days when a few sentences say it all. And there are days when you can't stop writing it all out.

Section 1: What's going on with you right now? or Today? or This year? or This time in your life?

Section 2: Journal entry about projects you are working on. They can be reading or writing or other creative projects or endeavors or plans for these endeavors.

Section 3: Journal entry to a PROMPT. Pick one or write about multiple prompts. You can select a one word prompt or the longer prompts. Do as many as you like. *Beauty *Insight *Gratitude *Rant *Energy

*Shadow: do you know the shadow side of yourself? What is it like? How did you first get to know that shadow or negative of yourself? What have you learned from your shadow self?

*Personality Quiz: Have you ever done a personality quiz? Do you take those monkey surveys? What does your survey say?

*Games: do you play online games? Board games? Sports games? Spectator games? Write/tell about what that is like.

*Describe your ideal place. What does it look like? Feel like? Where is it? Is it a place online? or a physical place? or a place you have been to or created?

*School: Do you like school? Are you in school? Or are your kids/grandkids in school? What are some of your best or worst memories of school? If you could change or make a school like a homeschool what would you do? What would be the best school or just a better school? Or maybe your school is the best- what makes it that way?

*Retirement/Life of Leisure: If you live or could life a leisure or retirement what would that be like? People are doing it all ages these days, or would you prefer to do work including work at home or volunteer work? Or some hybrid combination of retirement/leisure/work?

Section 4: Lists- Choose a few of these lists. * 4 Favorite books of all time. * 4 Favorite poets. * 4 Movie scenes * 4 Things outside your window. * 4 Small things that comfort you. * 4 Ways you manage your time. * 4 Smells that bring back memories. * 4 Songs you are listening to. *4 Things that are romantic. *4 Tragedies that upset you. *4 Fairy tale or fantasy characters you enjoy. *4 New words *4 Design ideas *4 Ways you destress or calm *4 Joys *4 (Make up your own list/lists)

So, that's the 4 sections. You can type/write front/back of the paper, and save paper weight for mailing. Just be sure your ink/writing doesn't show through - make sure your partner can read what you've written. :) Fold the paper neatly and send in an envelope. Be sure your user name & the swap title is on or with the pages. This is for rating, and also if you decide to collect the pages together, it would be nice to see who wrote what later on. :)

My overall idea for the swap is that we would all collect the pages together in a folder or binder to look at later - which is why the page size is so important! Also, so that everyone is meeting the same requirement.
