Description:

Take an article of clothing that you would normally discard and make something out of it. You can make anything you want, a purse, a bag, a hat, a quilt, a wall hanging storage unit, a dotee, something decorative, anything you can come up with. This is sender's choice, but please try to make something useful or decorative or usable in some way. If you would like to try to match someones profile that is great but it is still sender's choice.

Be aware, this is an international swap. (I don't want anyone that wants to participate to be left out.)

One item to one partner.

The only cost for this should be shipping, try to use what you have on hand including any embellishments.

This does not have to be sewed it can be glued or stapled or what ever you want.

This project can be as large or small as you want. Use as many repurposed items as possible, try not to buy anything new for this project. This could be a good opportunity to use some of those embellishments you have lying around.

It is ok to use more than one item of clothing or parts of more than one, for example: two socks or a sleeve from a shirt and a leg from a pair of pants etc.

Add a note explaining what item or items of clothing you used and a brief explaination of how you made the item.

This is a group swap so all group members are welcome.

Everyone is expected to rate their partner.

Make it fun, don't stress, do put some effort into it make something you would like.

The best part of this should be seeing what ideas others come up with.

If I left something out or if you have any questions let me know.

I extended the send by date to allow more time to complete your projects.

Thank you lilychouchou, this should be fun. I can't wait to see what people come up with.

This sounds like fun, and I've got 2 pairs of ripped jeans and a torn blouse in my craft room, just waiting to be recycled into something else. Will put this on my watch list for the moment.

my watch list too....just don't know how busy I will be with work.....this time of year can get really busy....or if it's as dead as it's been.....then I won't have $ for postage....so if my budget and time allow, I'd love to do this swap!

I just completed an upcycle apron at a different site and ended up incorporating some of the materials in my regular aprons for swap-bot. A little can definitely go a long way. Great idea :)
