This is my first attempt at hosting a public swap; so do please bear with me on this one :). And do please sign up!

But before I go on, THIS IS AN IOS SWAP!!! I am a proud citizen and hope that you will become one too!

I think that the title pretty much explains what this swap is about; it is about dancing. I am a dancer; I am just crazy about it! You don't have to be a dancer to join! You can just like to watch someone dance, or know someone, etc

So how many partners?

   ! YOU WILL ONLY HAVE ONE PARTNER !

Anyway, here are the requirements:

  1. You have to have a good rating. You need to have a rating of 4.5 or higher. If you have a history of no-sends, you will be banned.

    • Newbies, I'm sorry but this isn't your swap. I'm sure I'll be doing it again! So no worries there!

  2. Everyone has to have a full profile! That way someone will be able to pick out something just for you!

  3. When you join, please put on the message board below the kind of dance(s) you do, are learning, watch, etc. That will help your partner.

Now, here is what you have to send!

  1. One CD of your making of music to dance to. It can be hip-hop or whatever, but remember your partner's likes and dislikes. If you do make one, please put a label on it. That way your partner will know what it is. If you do not have CD software, you may buy a dance music CD.

  2. Some awesome socks. They should be funky or just fun to create happy feet!

  3. Something to pamper themselves with. Examples: Perfume, body wash, etc. If you are allergic to something please post it on either your profile or on here.

  4. GOODIES!!! Example: Chocolate, candy or whatever. Now, if you live in an area (or sending) where they don't let that go though customs, put something else in. Maybe an ATC or something like that. I'm leaving that to you to decide. I know that this is a problem in some countries.

  5. And, finally, an extra surpise item! This way, you can get a heart or an awesome rating. Ideas: leg warmers, flip-flops, etc. Use your imagination.

I am a dancer in everything really; Belly Dancing (just learning), Tap, Clogging, Jazz, Hip Hop, Interpretive, Ballet, and I'm hoping that I am going to do couple dancing soon.

I do contra dance. If you haven't heard of it, google it! It's an American (New England, originally) dance style done in 2 lines to live music with a caller. I am playing a contra dance in a couple of weeks...

Just out of curiosity to everyone, should I change the send date to Augest 8th? That way, if you do make something, you will have plenty of time to make it. Please post what you think about this.

Ok, Gracie, I'm in despite the fact that many years ago my Tap instructor told me I dance like a horse...lol. Just wasn't my style, I tell ya. These days I have been known to engage in "shagging"( NO! not that...beach dancing indigenous to South Carolina)and the occasional Highland Fling. I would love to learn to bellydance and DH has been muttering about taking up Latin ballroom but have seen no action as of yet. Still, it sounds like fun to me.

Thanks for the invite Grace! This sounds like a lot of fun. I am a very beginner amateurish type dancer, but I love funky socks and music that makes me want to dance. So.. I'm in!

Thanks for pointing the swap out, glolinde! It looks like it'll be fun! In the passed I've done -- Freestyle (not the hip-hop style, but the 90s pop kind of stuff hehe), Salsa and Chacha. I also did some Show-dance type dance, if it counts. Oh, and when I was 8, I did Ballet for a year and a half. A long time ago, but I miss those days...

I'd love to try belly dancing, line dancing (heh), swing, anything! Like my profile says; I'm easy to please, I promise :D

I have lots of dancing, ballet, jazz, hiphop, irish, social dancing, musical theatre (i just finished a three week run of "HAIR") belly dance, and home alone dancing to crazy music in front of the mirror :P

this is going to be an awesome swap, im excited!
