Description:

NOTE: This swap is 2 years old! Thanks to everyone who has kept this swap alive and fun! Also, note that this is a new calendar site than in past years. I like to change it every year. Rules are still the same. On the page that I've guided you to, there is also a printable calendar link for those that like to look at it that way rather than as a list.

There is a holiday for every day of the year. Since we will all be using the same holiday calendar, go to this website for the calendar month of September: http://www.brownielocks.com/september.html

Using this calendar, you'll pick 4 different holidays from the month, you choose which four, and send something to your partner that has to do with the holidays you choose. It can be a news article, craft, purchased item, etc. Try to mix it up a little. Anything that comes to mind that represents that holiday. For ex: September 10 is Swap Ideas Day, maybe make up your own idea of a great swap with a little surprise (how perfect for Swap-bot, huh?!). September 12 is Mushroom Day, maybe send something with a mushroom print on it. Use your imagination! So you will send your partner a total of 4 items. After you have collected the 4 items, please send them all together to your partner by the assigned deadline of August 28. This is USA/Canada only, 1 partner, and anyone with 4.85 ratings or better, and no recent unexplainable no-sends. Newbies with a full profile are welcome. This will be fun!

while this one has more options on it, i liked the other one better cause it had a description of what everything was so it gave me a better idea on what to send.

There are links for some of the holidays to click on.

Do you do this for every month or do you just do this during September every year?

chincho 07/22/2009 #

I'm sorry it is not international....

I host this swap every month.

Sounds like a fun swap! My stamp store I go 2 always has a wacky calender. That is in their newsletter ea month. Can u use an international holiday? I suppose u can cross stitch or card? Also it's nice to add a little extra w/ ur swap. Keep it flat so u don't need extra postage. Love animals, live in the country. I make cards, cross stitch, crochet. I would love 2 join!

Hi! After switching to a new calendar of holidays for this swap this month, I realized and thought about it and I think we will go back to the calendar I've been using in the past years swaps. So for this swap you can use the calendar I already mentioned or you can use this site for your calendar: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/september.htm This holidayinsights site lists more holidays and has links for all of them for reference, so future swaps will use this calendar site. Have fun! Thanks for joining!

My birthday is September 22! Yay! Just in case whoever got me wanted to know lol

I looked up Sept 22 and its businesswoman day and elephant appreciation day. I'm not a business woman, so I guess that makes me an elephant?

Argh!! I missed it again!! I missed August and now September. I wish there was a reminder function of when the October one will be up! LOL. I loved doing May and June.
