Hi :) This swap is for everyone who enjoys making Deco Friendship Books from scratch.

For this swap you will need to make 3 Deco Friendship Books yourself and send to 1 partner.

Please try and make your deco friendship books of reasonable quality, not just a couple of small pieces of paper stapled together. Please make them the same quality as what you would like to receive :)

I'm allowing a few weeks for this swap so that those who are new to Deco Friendship Books and need extra time to make them can also join :)

Newbies are welcome with a filled out profie

If you have any 1's on your profile you must have explained them with a response.

............................................................................................. What is a deco? - Thanks to Decofbs for this description :)

Decos are a specific kind of friendship book, or FB for short. FB's are little hand-made booklets of paper that are passed around via snail mail (the postal system) by penpals and swappers. FB's are made for and by someone (it could be the same person). The person that it is made for: is the owner of the FB. When it is full, it is sent back to them. It is a real treat to receive a full FB home in the mail and see where all it has gone! When you receive a regular FB, you add your address label and any additional information about yourself that you want others to know - your age/birthday, your wedding anniversary, number of kids, hobbies, what you swap, etc. You look through the book at other people's entries, and decide if there is anyone that you would like to write to or swap with; if so, you write down their address and then send them a letter or swap! Then you pass the FB on in a letter or envelope of FB's to one of your pals. A deco FB has one main difference - instead of just adding your label, you decorate an entire page. People use a variety of materials - magazine pictures, real pictures, stickers, different kinds of paper, paints, rubber stamps, feathers, beads, etc. They can truly become a creative outlet, and the results can be amazing, especially when you receive back an entire booklet full of other people's work. In general, they take much more time than regular FB's, but many people think they're worth it! They also tend to be made more carefully out of better material (cardstock for covers is common).

I am new to FBs. I think I would be more interested in a deco, that way I can "make" something. So, my question is if we have to decorate a page, how many pages should this be? Do you write your addy on the decorated page, or next to it on the following page? Thanks!

Hi, I usually make my deco's at least 6 pages so that at least 12 people can sign it. You place your details on the page that you decorate and then it's passed on so the next person can decorate a page in the book.

The Deco's we make should be FOR our partner o for us?
