This is going to be a monthly swap with a different theme each month. Here is a list of the themes that will be featured thoughout 2009. Nov - fall/autumn prints Dec - (No swap....Have a Merry Christmas!!!) For this swap you will send 1/2 yard of fabric to 1 partner. Each person needs to enter their preference whether they would rather receive 2 fqs or 1 continuous 1/2 yd of fabric. This month's theme is Polka dots . The fabric you send can be any color or combination of colors as long as it has polka dots as the main theme. Please do not send fabric that is too thin or cheaply made. Send something that you would like to receive yourself:)) Also....include one spool of coordinating thread. One more thing....PLEASE....PLEASE....PLEASE....include a note in the package that has the swap name and your swap-bot uesername so that your partner will know without a doubt what swap this package is for and who it's from. I have received entirely too many packages that didn't have the swap or tag name and did not have the username of the person that sent to me. I have had to search several times to find out who to thank for the goodies. This is very frustrating to say the least!!! To recap.....you will be sending: 1/2 yard of fabric (polka dots) - either 2 different fqs or 1 continuous 1/2 yard depending on which your partner prefers (100% cotton only!!!) 1 spool of coordinating thread This swap is open to all NFS members as long as you have no recent unexplained 1 or 3 ratings within the past 6 months.

I will be happy with whatever my partner wants to send whether it is 2 fqs or 1/2 continuous yard. I'm not too picky:))) I just love polka dots!!!

I'm easy! Either way is fine with me and either thread OR embroidery thread is fine too! I can ALWAYS use neutral color thread too! Thanks!

Regular polka dots are fine but I love even more the non-traditional dotted fabrics -- two FQs or a half yard, either way works.

Why are we always sending thread? I quilt a lot and use only a few basic thread colors that blend in. i have entirely way too much thread left over from projects where I color coordinated it. I'm just wondering if this is for something else or another reason I'm not aware of. dottee dolls maybe?

I think the thread is for all of us who do this swap but don't quilt. I enjoy the thread-maybe you could ask for embroidery floss if you embelish your quilts or just ask for the kind of thread you do use.

Me, I enjoy the fabric either way but fat quarters are fun especially if the coordinate with each other-feel free to think outside the traditional polka dot box for me.

I agree with Kimpe about the thread -- mainly I have to have that fat bump in the envelope I'm mailing and I often use thread in a netural-ish color taht works with the various colors in what I'm sewing.

I am not picky, so a 1/2 yard or 2 FQs is fine. I also like non-traditional dots.

Given the choice, I'd prefer the 1/2 yard, but if you have two fab FQs, I'm happy with that, too! :)
