Valentines Day is right around the corner. I'm already thinking hearts, hearts, hearts! <3

In this swap you will craft one wire heart pin for 2 partners. The materials used are largely up to you-- single or multiple colors of wire, can add beads, etc. Just be sure to make something nice that you would enjoy receivng/ wearing.

Let's shoot for sizes between .75 and 2 inches.

I'll set the send-by date to Jan 25th, so things will have plenty of time to get where they're going for Valentines Day :D

Newbies are welcome with filled out profiles. 4.9 rating average required to join. I will angel if necessary.

Is there a size requirement on these? Such as must be bigger than....and no larger than.......? Thanks! :-)

I've tried running this once before and had a lot of watchers but no one ever signed up. Please feel free to make suggestions about content change or timing. I haven't run very many of these, and would value your input :D

I'm going to give this a try. I'm new to wire work, but I think this will be fun.

It's a great idea! Since to many of us it might be new craft, (like me) I am a bit intimidated by the two partners. Just a thought if you aren't getting enough swappers. :-)

I'm actually okay with two partners--with things that are new to me I usually end up making a lot of protoypes! (If we don't end up with more than two swappers I'll just send both to my partner!)

So I am relatively new to jewelry making....I have gotten stringing, knotting and basic wire wrapping for earrings and dangles down, but this looks really complex! Do you guys have a suggestion of a video or something to show me how to do it? I would love to try! Watching for now.

I found some heavier gauge wire finally, so I'm back in! I found 12 gauge at Michael's and 16 gauge at JoAnns.

Hi everyone. The picture is just one I found for inspiration. You do not have to create precisely that kind. It's largely up to you and your imagination :D There are some basic wirework skills gone over at this site http://www.conniefox.com/Education/WireSkills/Spirals.htm

and much more available in books such as: http://books.google.com/books?id=wfMH89ekhXcC&pg=PT7&lpg=PT7&dq=basic+wire+work+skills&source=bl&ots=eBcj68QckT&sig=bdVaO8XaWvkRIVll260exKl7s&hl=en&ei=HylIS7iWNYKEswOepuz1Dw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=10&ved=0CCYQ6AEwCQ#v=onepage&q=&f=false

don't worry about being perfect.. have fun with it
