Description:

Let's get the ball rolling with a "small" but lavish package.

For this swap you will fill a box for your partner with profile goodies. Here is the challenge: The box and the contents should weigh as close to 1 kilo as you can get it!

You should be able to get a lot of great stuff together, just make sure none of it weighs a ton ;-)

I figured some people might not know how much a kilo is. So for the people that don't know a kilo is equal to 2.2 lbs. Just figured some people wouldn't know. This swap is definitly going on my watchlist and I'm sure I will sign up.

Would that be equal to like filling out a small 4.95 priority box?

Krazychef 01/12/2010 #

if sending internationally it's more than 4.95 for a flat rate

Thank you very much WitchyWoman, I will make a mental note of that and just double that amount when we do a 2 kilo package ;-)

I was counting on someone being able to tell us how nuch a kilo is in Ibs. So thank you very much for the information :-)

As for the rest of you I don't really know your postage rules, so it's hard to answer. But I will say that just because items are light weight they may not always fit in a small box ;-)

Not all items sent need to be light, but do try to get as much good stuff crammed in there as you possible can ;-)

Also, you are certainly free to go over the weight limit if you wish and if you have fairly cheap international shipping. But the cost of a 1 kilo package sent from Denmark to USA is 22 dollars, and if you go over a kilo even a little its 35 dollars (that's for the 2 kilo package). So I wont be going over ;-)

Yes in Australia to post 1kg to USA is $27.30AU and if you go over 1kg to between 1kg and 1.250kg it jumps to $33.30 and from Australia to Denmark is $34.10 for 1kg and jumps to $41.10AU if go over so hmm if posting to Denmark unfortunately I won't be going over 1kg either. But I love this swap :D

My questions wasnt about the price but about the size of the box. Would a small size do?

WitchyWoman 01/17/2010 #

I'm Sure a small flat rat box would do. I know if it's not international you can actually put up to 70lbs or something like that for 4.95. But not internationally those boxes are light weight so I guess more goodies can go in :)

I did not join this swap after seeing the scary shipping prices, $27.30... $34.10... can't take that chance! Will join next time or will join when there is a regional one. Sorry!

Morgaine 01/18/2010 #

nelliebugsdotcom = I can tell you right now that there will never be a regional one in this group! It is my opinion that if you make it into a group, you should at least have the option to join EVERY swap. So all my swaps will be international in this group.

WonderMama: Yes, you are free to send as small items as you wish as long as it is something your partner will like. Small can be good, so by all means go with the small box if you can find items to fit in it :-)
