Description:

I get piles of junk mail. Pre-approved credit card offers, solicitations for donations, catalogs I never asked for, and all kinds of other random stuff I don't need or want find their way into my mailbox almost every day.

Instead of throwing out (and hopefully recycling!) your junk mail, let's save the best bits and use them to make ATCs! For this swap, you will have one partner for whom you will make a set of 4 ATCs constructed entirely from junk mail.

I am setting the mail date for this pretty long so you have time to amass some junk mail. This also means you will have plenty of time to make your cards, so please be creative! Make sure you are sending out cards that you would like to receive! International, 4.7 to join, newbies welcome with well-filled-out profiles.

Does it need to be ONLY junk mail, or can we add other things?

SherriB 03/12/2010 #

Oops! I guess it does say ENTIRELY from junk mail in the instructions--my bad!

do bills count as junk mail?

Ok, I guess I do still have questions on this. Let's say I make my ATC out of junk mail. Can I stamp on it, paint it, emboss it, etc.? Or is it to be strictly a junk-mail collage, paper only?

Using glues, paints, and inks is okay, as well as any tools used to manipulate the paper or inks. So things like paper punches and rubber stamps are okay, just so long as the physical card itself and the bulk of the design is made from junk mail. :) Hope this clarifies, let me know if you have any other questions!
