Hello CQ Members

I've done a few One Word Photo swaps in public, but after talking to Ms @RyeRye I decided to bring it into the CQ arena, and I hope you will enjoy it!

Every month we will have one word, and it is your duty to take a photo to represent that one word.

May's word is: CLOSEUPS

So, you will take (or use one you've already taken) a closeup photo of anything you like. Feel free to be creative, and if your closeup is difficult to tell what it is, be sure to tell your partner on the back or in the note you send what it is! I remember taking a closeup of the inside of a bell pepper and it was CRAZY looking!

One partner - One Photo - Not profile related so you can take your photo whenever, even before partners are assigned.

Please print on photo paper or have them printed for you. I always make sure my printer is set on "Best" quality when I print photos. Just a tip for a nice looking photo self-printed.

Questions - feel free to let me know.

@druideye - Photo is one I took of honeysuckle.

How did you get that photo? Do you use a close up filter? I'm interested in this swap so I am watching

druideye 05/ 5/2010 #

No I don't use any filters at this time. I actually used my Canon Rebel DSLR and the kit lens. I take a lot of closeups of flowers, and don't use special equipment. Just a steady hand!

That's what I have so I am going to start experimenting. Looks like I just found another swap! Woohoo!

Awesome!

druideye: great swap idea, glad we did the private photo portrait postcard, I use a macro lens & hood on my Canon Rebel and love to take closeups. I'm joining.

Nice @sunshinehoneybee I would love a macro lens, but I just don't have the money and a good 50mm lens is first on my list for my portrait work. I might settle for a lensbaby instead of spending the money on a macro this year.
