Description:

This swap is for beautiful, handmade skinny cards. What is a Skinny? Well it is a card measuring 3 x 5 inches which you decorate in your chosen style or theme and then swap with another artist, just like an ATC only bigger. The artwork on the skinny should be your original work and not a digital or other copy unless this is specifically called for in the swap. Also the cards should be kept fairly flat and not contain bulky embelishments or additions.

For this swap we will each make three skinny cards, on any theme you choose, and send one to each of three partners. That's it, couldn't be simpler.

This swap is international and open to anyone with a rating over 4.5 who has a completed profile.

If you enjoy this swap and would like to swap more skinny cards then you are welcome to join my group "whats the Skinny" which has monthly themed swaps.

I hope you all have a lot of fun doing this swap, feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

...your original work. do you mean no rubber stamp images, collage images, etc? Does it have to be drawn or painted by the sender? What is original artwork?

Sorry, my fault. I don't mean that you can't use stamps or collage images, what I mean is that you can't send a copy of a completed card you have previously used like a photocopy or digital print from a photo. Most people would not dream of doing this I know but it does happen sometimes when someone can't be bothered to make a new card.

You can use any crafting medium you wish, including drawing, painting, stamping and collage, so long as you send the actual card you worked on. I hope I am making myself clear but I'm not sure I am, for example; when making the card shown above I have used a variety of different images from various sources to make a collage and this is fine so long as I send you the actual collaged card I made but if I was to print out a copy of the photo shown that would not be OK.

pinkelephantprincess Hi I put my skinnies in a plastic baggie and tape the end down. :)

I don't think anyone is making proper sleeves in this size yet but like maggiemay I sometimes use a baggie or reuse packaging from stickers etc or use a small paper envelope.

Could this be on a 3 x 5 notecard, or is there some sort of special card I should buy? If the former, is it okay if the notecard has lines on the back? Sorry, I'm way new to this. (:

yes that is fine, any card is fine as a base even cereal boxes etc!
