Description:

A lucky parcel is a package that is wrapped up nicely in a container such as a box, bag, or anything similar and all its contents related to the theme.

For this swap, the theme is the Moon Rabbit. In Japan, there is a legend that a rabbit lives in the moon and that the craters are

In Japanese mythology, it is believed that there is a rabbit living in the moon. And the craters that appear on the moon gives off an image of a rabbit pounding with a mallet in order to prepare mochi.

There are actually quite a few anime and games that refer to this Japanese myth, with Sailor Moon being one of them. Usagi Tsukino (Serena) is actually a pun based on the myth with Usagi meaning rabbit and Tsuki meaning moon. So any anime/manga/game that has references to the moon rabbit may be included in this lucky parcel. If you do send an item that features any anime/manga/game, write a note to your partner informing them on how the moon rabbit is referenced to.

In this swap, you will make a variety of handmade/altered/purchased items for your partner that revolves around this theme. You must send at least 5 handmade items to your partner and must wrap wrap it nicely in a container as aforementioned. These items you make should display some effort and creativity, not just a pasted on idea. Also, there is a limit of two duplicate items. For instance, you can send 2 ATCs, but not 3.

I will be willing to angel this swap so if any one has future issues, feel free to message me.

I'll be watching this one for now since I think a little research is needed in order for me to be able to do a great job. ^_^

Awesome idea, though...

Just out of curiousity, why does all items have to be handmade or altered?

arabella28 05/30/2010 #

Hmm, well I was just thinking along crafts like cards and stuff and honestly, I didn't think of materials so that's why I didn't add it in. But now that you mentioned it I'll add purchased items since there's bound to be some cute fabrics/papers/or things like that to be bought. Thanks for asking.

Aww, I liked that this was handmade/altered only. I already started on a few things! Ah well, hope people won't be disappointed if I don't have mostly purchased things. :D

@savvysauce I've been working on a few things already myself and still plan on making mostly, if not all, handmade items. I actually much prefer handmade items myself because, but I figured offering purchased items as an option will allow those who do not craft as much to join in.

Thanks for adding purchased. I have no problem receiving handmade items, I just have a limited number of things I have the skills to make, and I did not want my partner to end up with items that all looked kind of alike.
