Sorry to not join but I can't justify sending one card international at $1.90 for overseas and $1.00 to USA. I figure a 2 card minimum.

@Missysmom you could always put some extra bird related goodies in the envelope to justify the postage, and perhaps get a heart.

sending one atc usually only costs .44 cents in the US, unless you send it with more items or a heavy card then it only costs .88 cents.

I am not in this swap, but new to swapbot and wondering what is the best way to ship these overseas?

bluehairedmary 06/ 4/2010 #

From the US, it's 98 cents to send a letter international.

I dont feel it's too much to send a card, because your partner also has to pay that. I just dont like it when all my matchboxes have to be sent overseas, but even thats not too much.

Anything overseas needs to go airmail or it will take a couple months. It's always longer than the post office says. I know, I live overseas and have sent things to myself from the U.S.

mamajoy 06/ 5/2010 #

thebaretree - It's .44/first ounce, and .61 for 2 ounces USA - not .88. Don't overpay for snail mail.

I live in the UK and have just received 2 atc and the price on the envelope was .98c if that helps

thebaretree 06/ 7/2010 #

thank you mamajoy ;)

You are getting a one-of-a-kind work of art-$1.00 isn't bad at all. I have a book full of them. Do a few a month, it won't seem that pricey.
