Description:

Are you a generous sharer of gum? Then this is your swap! For this swap, you will buy 2 partners 2 packs of your favorite gum! (They should probably be different, for some variety.) It could be bubble, or mint, or novelty kinds no one has seen before! Because it is a simple swap, there won't be a huge turn-around time on this one.

Newbies are welcome with at least 5 rated swaps. You should have at least a 4.8 rating, though. Please don't flake (because this is a really easy one) or send anything that's obviously been shuffled around too long--either in the bottom of the purse or previous swaps! I'll check your profiles and ban you if you sign up for things and forget, or seem to send late. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEND BY THE DEADLINE! Ok, enough yelling. Have fun! Any questions?

P.S. Wouldn't it be fun to send a little card or note, or something extra? I'm just asking. No pressure. Well, a little pressure. Tiny bit.

Hi, I'd prefer not to receive mint gum, I prefer the fruity kind if this is possible. If not then never mind then someone in the house will eat it. Thanks for hosting this swap.

heh where the "newest swaps" list crops the title on my display shows this as "would you like a pie" Was wondering how one would go about swapping pie--gum would ship much more easily.

This is sender's choice, right?

lettergirl 06/10/2010 #

Senders choice, of course, except if someone says they don't like a certain kind, because what's worse than getting what you hate? I would have rather actually had pie, to tell you the truth. But my post office workers are already a little snotty as it is. They wouldn't like pie in a bubble envelope. I would though. Mmmm..pie.

no mint gum for me too.

I love gum. I love trying new gum. I love swapping gum with my gum loving friends at work.

Question: What do you consider "a pack".

Packs of gum these days vary greatly in size. I have a sleeve of packs: 8 packs, 6 sticks in each pack. From that, I'd send one pack of only 6 sticks. But in my car, I have one of those cupholder jars of gum with something like 60-80 chicklets in it. Stride and the new Tridents and the weird Wrigley 5 gums all have about 14 sticks a pack. But the pill-pack type gums cost the same and are about the same size package, but actually include fewer pieces.

It's not a big deal, but I don't want my partner to feel like she got cheated.

Listen you troublemaker BetsyPreston! A pack of gum is the kind you'd buy for a little 6 year old when they're bugging you at the store and you only have like, some change in your purse, but you want the kid to like you, so you scrape it all together. You don't want the kid to get the cup kind, because although it has a lot, chances are it's going to spill in your car. But you don't want to get only a gumball or something, because then the kid will drop it and you'll already be in the car, and the kid will be crying and you'll feel like a heel.

One pack equals more than 6 pieces but fewer than 27 pieces and is delicious and sent out on time. And doesn't include mint for Zauberin or Teraceee, because they are amongst our first (and therefore most honored) members.

I want to start sending now. :)

I am laughing a lot. Stupid annoying computer programmers who always have to get so darn fussy about the details.

I won't make anyone cry, and I want to send gum now!

me too! If you can't decide - Watermelon goes great in our house - With 3 boys, I doubt that I will see any of it. *Sigh

Can't wait to send out!
