Description:

The equinox will occur in the evening of September 22, 2010, for locations on US Eastern Daylight Time or further west. (For arguments sake we will go with this date as it being everywhere though it might be off here or there).

The word “equinox” derives from the Latin words meaning “equal night” and refers to the time when the sun crosses the equator. At such times, day and night of nearly equal length everywhere in the world.

In this swap we will create a traveling altar for our partner.

Your traveling Altar requirements

1 a container (decorated please) bag, or box nothing smaller than 250 count matchbox. (senders choice)

2 Something for the altar symbolic of balance between light & dark (could be difficult) or of Mabon in general. (senders choice)

3 a Mabon offering could be oil associated with Mabon, herbs, or appropratly scented candles (Note you can not send herbs or things like real apples or corn, to Australia) (senders choice)

4 Include a ritual or spell in honour of Mabon, an example would be a spell to bring balance back into your life.

5 Just because (you fill in the blank) this should be something specifically for your partner. If your partner is fairly new you might want to send an altered journal for them to use as a BoS, maybe include some general information about herbs, offerings, Sabets & Esbets, even a few simple spells or innvocations. Maybe you want to send them something you feel every altar needs. (Partner specific)

Note to all participants please post below if there are things you are allergic to, or if there is something you are looking for and having trouble finding, your partner may be able to help you out. Please make certain you do not list anything that can not be imported to your country.

If you are new to paganism (or just have questions) and have questions feel free to mail me & I'll see if I can answer them. I want to make this swap something we all enjoy from putting it together to receiving our own package and am happy to assist with information or ideas. After you sign up you can go ahead & start on your package as most of it is Senders Choice.

Have fun & enjoy this swap!

I am allergic to most evergreens (Rosemary & Thyme being he exceptions I have found) Also have sensitivity to strong scents.

Always looking for new spells on everything. I am very eclectic in my practices so open to just about anything.

I am allergic to scented candles (instant headache no matter the scent) and very sensitive to strong scents in oils, insence and herbs.

I am always looking for spell candles in all colors except for red and white which are the only colors available here. Also it would be nice with some of those tiny little candle holders for spell candles as I only have one of those :-)
