I was totally inspired by this post in the PF's...

Link

and other similar projects on flickr Link 2

And declared in my best spoilt brat voice that "I want one" wah wah stomp stomp :p

So this is going to be an ongoing swap of 6 inchies at a time - so nice and cheap on postage ;) A different theme each round and it will keep going until we have enough for our own creepy, dark and twisted inchie mosaic to hang on our walls or whatever you choose to do with them :)

So for the 2nd round....

  • 6 Inchies to 1 Partner

  • This rounds theme is: Cirque Du Creepy: Circus Tents, Scary Clowns, Ringmasters, Freak Show Oddities, Scary Fortune Tellers

Beginners to inchies are welcome, seen as I am one myself. Just put some effort in and don't send out crapola or your first ever efforts, unless they're the shizzle. Think: "would I want these gracing my wall" if the answer is "no" then try again :p

In case you don't know what inchies are...

It’s a 1 x 1 inch piece of artwork. As long as it’s an inch squared, you can use any media you like to make it, paper, fabric, wood, metal…the list goes on! A favourite seems to be the collaged inchie, with a combination of words and images making up the artwork.

Heavy watercolour paper works perfectly for making inchies, but if you like to recycle you could use a cereal packet or other similar packaging, or even a postcard.

Please make them sturdy and glue several pieces of the above together if necessary

Also Flickr has a ton of photos

So who's on board for Team Darkness Inchie Project???

♥

Please suggest future theme suggestions below please it's hurting my head thinking of them all

This would be awesome, I'd love to participate. I usually do inchies with grungeboard as the backing but if everyone else will be using something thinner, I guess I should too?

Did I miss round 1? Crap.

BirdGuhl 02/19/2011 #

I'm sure by the end everyone will end up with lots of different inchies of various thickness, which will add to the charm!. I've added a line about sturdiness and glueing several pieces together etc

Yep you missed the first one, I'm sure someone else prob did as well and will do a private swap with you!

Hi there, I missed the first round, can't I join then?

BirdGuhl 02/20/2011 #

Yeah of course you can join!!! You don't have to do every round. I was just pointing out to @Lishmo that if she really wanted Vampire Inchies (which was the first round theme) then she could prob find someone to do a private trade with.

Very cool!
