Description:

Make one awesome journal for one partner.

USA & Canada only.

You may use any type of paper or paper mixture you'd like. I personally like to mix in weird printed papers with regular writing paper. Try and theme the journal to your partner's liking based on their profile. Feel free to embellish the cover and even inside pages with stamped images, quotes, drawings, envelopes, etc.

The journal must have at least 50 pages in it. And be no smaller than 4 inches by 4 inches.

To be considered handmade you must make the binding yourself using any technique (i.e. sewing, staples, brads, etc.) No altered store bought notebooks/journals allowed.

Earn hearts by including a pen, bookmark or writing prompts.

Please have a feedback rating of 4.7 or higher with no no-sends. (special circumstances like impatient partners, etc are ok if you email me and explain.) No newbies for this swap. sorry.

If you have any questions or need help with ideas/technique please ask in the swap thread. I love when conversations get flowing in swap chats.

Good luck. Have fun!

I love the opportunity to make these journals--it's so much easier for me to make a book without having to come up with words to fill them!

Please, please, to my partner, don't put cutsy things in mine--no kawaii or the like, nothing Disney, etc. You can feel free to use any materials: fabric, handmade paper, rich or earthy colors--no pastel or baby colors please!, stamped images, textures, metal, celtic knots etc, but to really tickle my fancy, a crow or two can't hurt!

I'll definitely be checking the profile of my partner to make it special!

What fun! One question--- Are the front and back of each page counted as one or as separate pages? i.e. 50pages->100sides or 25pages->50sides.

yay... i am glad this is taking off. making a journal is so much fun.

cookiebear: 50 pages, so 100 sides to write on. :) good questions.

I purchased a Bind It All and it came with chipboard, paper and bindings. Does this qualify as making the binding myself? Technically, I don't think it is, but I'd be interested in joining this swap as I haven't used my machine yet. The chipboards are unadorned, so I'd love to look at my partners profile and make one to suit them specifically.

Thanks!
