Description:

If you were in a past round of swaps, cool–send along a book you've received. If you’re joining for the first time, pick out a book you like, hard cover or paperback, but intact (both covers and all pages complete!) and send it to your partner.

IMPORTANT! Please put a card or paper on the front inside cover so each reader can add their name. You can use a post-it if you don’t want to tape or glue. Some swappers have been putting address labels in so we can see where they’re from too. If you don’t want to do that, please just put your name and location.

It’d be fun to register these books at Bookcrossing, a website for exchanging and passing along books. (Fun, but not required for swap.) You can add a review there and keep track of where your book travels. Check it out at www.bookcrossing.com It’s free and fun! If you receive a bookcrossing book, please register it. You don't need to join to do that.

Don't worry about checking partner's reading preferences. In this swap, the idea is to try reading something different. Who knows, you might find a new favorite genre or author! If your new partner has already read your current book (check the list in the front!), please just send a different one from your collection and keep the other book for the next month and a different partner.

USA only to keep expenses lower. Feel free to start an international one if you like!

Please pm before you rate someone down if you haven't received your book. Please let your partner (and me!) know if you're going to be late sending!

I hate to have to add this, but we've had some flakers, so no Newbies (fewer than 5 package swaps), and you must have at least a 4.5 with NO no sends in the past year. If you're a newbie or someone trying to claw their way back from a bad spell, please pm me and I'll set up a private swap for us. I will ban anyone who hasn't been online within a week of the deadline or who has recent late or no-sends.

Have fun. Happy book swapping and reading!

NOTE: There have been some issues lately concerning the condition of books that are sent. Please use discretion when choosing your book. The book doesn't need to be brand new, but it must be at least in good or acceptable condition. No water damage, no writing or highlighting in the book, and the book must have its complete cover. Please be polite -- only send something you would like to receive!

Is this a monthly thing? I am a newbie, but by the time June comes around, I would have enough package swaps to join. So I'm hoping you do this again!

Is this in fact a package swap, not electronic? I've only 3 packages so far because many say no newbies.

Annabell1123 Yes, she posts a new swap each month for people to sign up every month. This one should actually say May.

manders2280 I think this would be considered a package swap because you are mailing out the book to your partner.

I haven't noticed this swap before. I think it's a great idea, maybe because I am a Bookcrossing member already.

@Annabell123 -- Yes, it's monthly! Hope to see you next month!

@cgoltz -- Thanks for clarifying; I always forget to check this message board!

As always, newbies with too few package swaps are more than welcome to message me for a private version of the swap. Partners are now assigned. Happy swapping!

See you in June!
