Description:

Thanks to Beckra for allowing me to host this swap!

For this swap you will have 1 partner, and you will send that partner 7 postcards. On each postcard you should write a diary-type entry.

Write your first card on Sunday 6/26 and then write one a day until your last one on Saturday July 2. At the end of each day, give yourself some time to record the day's events. What did you do that day? What did you think about? Did something make you especially happy or especially unhappy? You can write anything along these lines, as long as you're giving some sort of view of your day. The next morning, pop that postcard in the mail, and write the next card that evening. Repeat until the week is out!

If you don't have access to a mailbox every day, you can still join: write a card a day and mail them in batches when you visit the post--just be sure that all 7 cards are mailed by Monday July 3.

And here's an option in case your partner isn't in your country (or even if they are): feel free to send groups of your postcards together in an envelope to cut down on postage costs. (Just be sure to put adequate postage on the envelope if it gets heavy.) Of course, you don't have to use the envelope method; you can still choose to send each postcard separately. It's up to the sender to decide how they want to send their cards.

Types of postcards sent are also the sender's choice. Both commercially produced cards and hand-made cards are fine. Participants should be open to receiving any and all kinds of cards.

Other details: 1) No unrated swappers for this one; sorry. 2) Swappers with a rating below 4.95 or a profile that may cause concern will be dropped before partners are assigned. If there's something on your profile that you think might raise eyebrows, please PM me in advance.

And I thought the postcards had to have the theme of milk somehow because it says dairy in the title instead of daily ;)

That's what I thought, too! I was like, ice cream postcard? Cheese?

Babytreese 06/20/2011 #

Oh DIARY! I get it...

And I thought this would be an easy swap for me from the dairy state of Minnesota :-)

I don't understand why the send date is June 26 when it should have been July 4 or 5... Is the person supposed to mark "sent" even if the cards haven't all been written and sent?

Just a thought....is the post office open Monday July 3 in US?

Sorry about the end date; I have fixed it. I thought it looked strange but could not think why...and I also fixed the title.
