Description:

This idea came from an article I read at:

http://www.ephotozine.com/article/8-ways-to-break-photography-rules-17155

The way we're going to 'break photography rules' is the Shoot From The Hip method.

The article states "OK, so shooting with your camera held to your eye or using your camera's screen to frame your shot isn't a rule, just more of a thing that everyone does because that's the way camera's work! But by leaving your camera by your side and 'shooting from the hip' you can get some interesting results. Sure, it can be a little hit and miss but as it doesn't look like you're taking a photograph you stand the chance of capturing much more candid results, particularly on the street."

  • Take two pictures, the subject is sender's choice, using the method described above.

  • Create postcards for each photo.

  • Mail both postcards in an envelope to one (1) partner.

Note that the sign up date and send date are only two weeks apart. Since this is a sender's choice swap, you can start practicing your shooting from the hip photography right now!

So glad you're having fun with this. I took mine at a fair, very interesting to see what people were doing when they don't know a camera is pointed at them. Feel free to try other places as well, thanks for sharing. :)
