wow! its so nice to read such a detailed and well-thought-out profile! i wish my profile could be as neat as yours. i think mine's too messy and sometimes i wonder if my partners will have a hard time reading it! haha.. i love your taste in music! Matchbox 20! i love them! i also enjoy carving rubber stamps! i usually use linoleum because it doesn't lose its shape and tiny parts don't break off easily. i see that you work with mentally challenged people. that is a very admirable thing. also, you must have a lot of patience! your cat, ginger, is SO CUTE!

On the Cricut... uhm... I'm not really someone to ask on it. It frustrates me because for some items to be 'pretty' it takes layers, so which means changing the paper, remembering the sizes...etc... I have a Sizzix Big Shot & like that alot more -- I do have a friend that is called "Cricut Lady" & she has EVERY Cricut cartridge & holds 'swarms' (crops for Cricut people)...so I usually ask her how to do stuff on it.
FINALLY someone on here around my age w/o kids!! I need to add that "don't send" -childern/kids stuff to my profile as well! I trade that off fast if I get anything like that.
Here in Houston is a group called "Charity Chicks" and they volunteer for all different charities in town... we made cards to hand out to cancer people in the hospital (Cards4Cancer) -right up my alley! LOL! I just love sharing my time and experiencing life by volunteering. I feel that 'everything happens for a reason' and by my volunteering for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 12yrs, it was a 'sign' to me to see if I could handle ever having a child with a life-threatening illness/disease... I just don't know how parents do it....

Hello Denise! When I entered your profile page at the first time, I was shocked! TOO MUCH INFORMATION, I felt like I can't do it. But I read it all, and you seem like warm, strong and awesome person!
If you can paint something so complex and still simple and beautiful that nature's creations, you truly can paint a human creation! Oli painting was too hard for me to handle, I like to use light colours like aquarelles. But I look up to people who can paint with oils, it's like magic when done well.
Book of Eli is a really really good movie, I totally recommend you should watch it! It touched me really deep. Everything was just pure beautiful, landscapes, characters, the story... Propably one of the best movies I've seen this year. I hope you like it.

I've heard nothing but good things but never have had the time to check it out for my self. How long have you been doing it for? Another thing I've always wanted to try is carving my own stamps! I bet you have so much fun making them and using them on everything! I'm a big fan of stamping especially with all the swapping, mail art, and scrapbooking it's hard not to do it! It's always fun when you can take a hobby that you enjoy and incorporate it in another. Using photography and having fun with the photos you take and combining them with the scrapbooks that you make!
