Greetings from Vancouver Island!

My name is Grace, I'm 26, currently obsessed with the colour yellow, I have a fondness for beards, and if I am what I eat then I am a very large cup of coffee.

I am a new Brownie leader this year and so I'm kind of crazy for badges/ patches/ and crests...

I live close to the ocean but that wasn't always the case. I'm actually from the Prairies but I'm learning to love the smell and sounds of the ocean.

I've been spending a lot of free time embroidering things and spinning wool or sewing little things out of felt. I am really in love with hand sewing so any small unique scraps of fabric or other notions would really make me smile :)

I love to go thrift shopping and see what vintage craft supplies I can find or pieces of art I can hang on my wall.

I have a kitty named Ava and she is a sweet heart who will never snub a good catnip mouse.

I am constantly making some sort of craft and I really treasure hand made or thrifted items. I always love to see other people's creativity at work.

For some reason I've also been fascinated by the Queen of England and all things surrounding her lately.

Current loves

I love hand made things. they make me smile... I'm the kind of girl that really lives by it's the thought that counts.. so I would rather have a small package filled with something you spent time making or picking out just for me than a random bunch of brand new things that I might never use...

Some other things I love... I love to hug trees. I really love playing my ukulele and drinking a fresh cup of coffee or tea. I love getting letters with fun funky envelopes and doilies.

Comment: Wow! Grace, that is an amazing package. I love heart garland - I have a canopy bed and I think I will hang it on it.I also love the extras - fabric pieces and especially your spun yarn. Now I am inspired to take out the spindle I got a while ago...And yes, we should do a private craft swap in the future. I just came from permaculture convergence, where I made my first reed basket, so now I am checking out books on weaving baskets... So many interesting crafts- how to choose...

Comment: Oh, you made my day today! Just seeing the so cool flowery tape (where did you get that?!) made me smile! Yes, I'm a quilter, but I'm also an artist and I love and appreciate art that other people do...whether they are experienced or not. I LOVE the little quiltie that you made! You used all my fave colors and I love that the fab is from Africa! (did I mention that I love batiks!) The backing was equally cool with the lady holding a pot on her head! Thank you for sending some of the fab that you used in the quilt! All the extra bits were fantastic...and the elephants....THE ELEPHANTS...were the coolest thing ever! I love all the beautiful papers, fun stickers (Don't Steal This!) and even the cartoon and band aid! LOL. Thank you for your note on purple paper too....you really put together a special package for me. I'm going to hang your little quilt in my studio so I can admire it every day!
