About Me

Beach girl who loves the ocean, lover of all animals, puppy-mom to the best black Lab in the universe. Book worm, artist/illustrator/photographer. If it is cute, I probably love it. Mermaid who loves to be in the water, or on land looking for fairies :)

I'm in my mid-30s and live on a tiny island in the Southeast US with my husband/soul mate/best friend. I live about three blocks from the ocean, and about a 20 minute drive to the really lovely city of Charleston.

I can often be found taking pictures of the beauty around me, whether with my iPhone or my camera. I'm fascinated by light, color, texture.

In addition to photography, I love drawing and watercolor painting. If you don't mind homemade cards, you will likely get an illustration or watercolor painting from me.

MOVIES: Princess Bride, The Dark Crystal, The Incredibles, Star Trek (the recent re-launch), The Avengers, Wall-E, Ever After, The Lord of The Rings series, Harry Potter series. I love action/fantasy/Pixar and romantic comedies :)

BOOKS: Anne of Green Gables, The Harry Potter series, The Bellgariad/Mallorean series, Charlotte's Web, The Little Prince

I love romance novels (Nora Roberts), Young Adult Fantasy, Fantasy (Charles de Lint)

Likes/Dislikes

DISLIKES: Nothing religious please, Nothing with guns, weapons, etc., please, Nothing really "Americana" - pictures of American flags, etc., Nothing with spiders, etc (unless handmade and cute), perfume or makeup (nail polish is ok)

LIKES: fairies, mermaids, unicorns, Animals (particularly elephants and dolphins), Harry Potter, positive/inspiring quotes, handmade anything, cute robots, nature photography, images of pinup girls, Disney, Pixar, stickers, pens, pretty stationary, stuff from the 80s, recipes of your favorite dishes, anything Marilyn Monroe, vintage kitschy stuff, superheroes (especially Wonder Woman), steampunk, Muppets, Jim Henson (Labyrinth, Fraggles, Kermit, etc)

Chocolate (it gets very hot and humid where I live, and it might get messy); Tea (I'm more of a coffee girl); Perfume/perfume samples
