Favorite Crafts

I love all things of crafts nature, my specialty seems to be making Christmas cards for friends and family. I have just recently started a washi collection and I love stationery. I also collect mugs. Really want to work on my crafting ability via swap bot and hopefully find some snail mail friends in the meantime.

Favorite Music

I suppose my musical taste can be described as indie rock. Coldplay is definitely my favourite band. I love the Hoziers, Bon Iver, Ed Sheeran, James Vincent McMorrow, Mumford and Sons, the lumineers, Florence and the Machine, The Scipt, U2.

Favorite Television

Sooo many good tv series!! I love The West Wing, The Good Wife, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Friends, still have to start watching The Wire. I love talk shows, from Jimmy Kimmel to Oprah/Ellen to UK's Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross, I pretty much try and keep up with a lot of them (unfortunately through the web).

Favorite Books

Harry Potter, The Fault In Our Stars, biographies, psychology books, John Grisham amongst others.

Comment: Kirsten this swap was intended to "Make new friends" as described in the title. You state in your letter that you love snail-mail and trying to keep up with your penals, you don't have an age limit on pen pals but want penpals your own age or upwards. I am twenty years older than you but you then suggest I can message you via swap-bot while "we" assess if we're an "age match" before you are willing to give me your address to write back. I felt you were not honest about wanting a penpal upwards of your own age and I appreciate your being honest about that with me. I wish you well in finding a pen-pal you're willing to get a return letter from. It can be difficult when most pen-pal swaps here are not limited by age-range. I rated you a 5 as you filled the terms of the swap, although not the spirit of it. If I had taken your comments personally, I would probably not have taken the time to reply to your message in response to my rating. Not taking a comment something personally, does not mean the attitude behind it won't offend.
Response: I'm sorry you felt that way. I did mention that I was looking for a penpal of a similar age & about other commitments. Indeed I have a very positive attitude about it, but had I not mentioned it to you, I felt I would be dishonest & didn't want to waste your time or effort in responding to a letter. Some people may choose to say nothing & then not respond to letters. I didn't opt for the latter, I didn't want to waste your time. In any case very best wishes on swapbot & in your penpal search.
