About Me

I am a veteran (Army nurse). I am a married woman without children. I do have 2 dogs that I over baby. I had cats for many years - sadly my allergies got too bad and I can't live with the little critters any longer. I am a long term care nurse and love seniors. I also take care of my senior mom who lives with my self and my husband

I love swap-bot. It is so nice being able to expect something nice in the mail - and being able to mail out something nice to someone else.

Favorite Music

I love instrumentals, rock, country, and believe it or not cadence (maybe I spent too long in the Army)

Favorite Books

I Robot, the Deathlands series by James Axler, The Bible - best book ever written, the left behind series, Koontz, King, and anything educational on most any topic. (Hate the mushy love novels, except the historical kind) OK - I read almost anything :)

Favorite Crafts

I paint, draw, art journal, sew, crochet, knit, embroider, cross stitch, and so much more. I am a craft butterfly (opposed to a social butterfly) flitting from one love to another as the seasons change and my interests change. I love trying new techniques, projects. The past couple of years I have been focusing on paper crafts. I just love love love paper.

Things I Collect

The only thing I collect are supplies to craft with. (I am in love with used postage stamps - if you send something to me please use real postage stamps) I love craft supplies that are on sale, grab bags (which force you to expand your horizons - to use up the supplies) and I love re-purposing junk to alter or use as craft supplies (my little tiny bit to reduce land fills).

Likes and Dislikes

My favorite colors are blue and red, but I love most any color except dull muddy colors.

Rolodex

I have a rectangular Rolodex, I am on the hunt for an old circular Rolodex. I'm brand new to altered rolodex cards - but I'm having a blast!

Lost and Missing Mail

I am truly sorry to anyone who did not receive their swap on time. If you had a swap in August or September with me and have not received it please PM me. I had just two missing swaps in July and each time went to the post office to inquire what might have happened I was told it was "not us" then I had several in August. I acted like a jerk and screamed at the post office personnel while customers were present (never do this) I subsequently received damaged mail - all the mail I put in my mail box came up MIA. I have subsequently apologized profusely and am receiving fairly undamaged mail. I am sending out all subsequent swaps from a nearby town as a precaution. Again I am so very sorry for any inconvenience to anyone. but please PM me if you have not received something I will happily resend. Please give me a few day to make the resend though. thank you

Comment: It has been 2.5 months since the end swap date, I've contacted you about once every few weeks and you keep saying you'll send it but haven't yet. This is getting a bit ridiculous now though, I understand that you've had a few swaps to re-do after some postal issues but this length of time is too much. I will be happy to change this rating if I ever receive anything.

Comment: **9-28-11:** It's so sad that I was flaked on by both of my partners for this simple swap...but I'm so proud of the beautiful Inchies I sent on my end, and that's more than enough for me! I will gladly re-rate if I ever receive this swap from you. **10-11-11:** Received what you "claim" are the "origonal Inchies" today, but given the problems so many people have had with your recent swaps...I really doubt you did find it under a craft table like you said! I also find it hard to believe that you're having PO problems considering your marking of re-send #1 on so many swaps...weeks after you promised to re-send? That proves you never even took them to the PO in the first place!!! That update is way to little...way to late! Once again you failed to obey my simple swap guidelines where I clearly say DO NOT AFFIX YOUR INCHIES TO A CARD OR BACKGROUND! SEND THEM LOOSE BUT SAFE!!! I had the same problem with the yellow ones. Oh well...I'm done trying and atleast my swapping with you is over.

I just wanted to let you know that I havn't received the Inchie Me A Color Series: Purple yet. You marked sent on the 14th, so they should be here by now! I had such a difficult time getting the yellow ones from you...and I really don't want to go through that again. Please contact me and let me know what's going on!
