Favorite Crafts

I love trying techniques that are new to me. Since joining Swap-bot I've dabbled in image transfers, watercolors, hand-carved stamps, pop-ups, Shrinky Dinks and collage. I scrapbook, crochet, arrange flowers and sew from time-to-time. I like to crochet - especially snowflakes.I try to make my own Christmas cards each year. Learning to spin wool is on my "bucket list."

Favorite things

I'm always pleased when I receive hand-drawn/hand-painted items. They nearly always get a heart from me. It's nice to get a note telling how the swap was created - inspiration, techniques, materials. I like flowers, deer, backyard birds and farm animals (especially chickens). I enjoy vintage/heritage swaps. I love vibrant colors of sunflowers, gerbera daisies and poppies as well as vintage palettes.

I intentionally grew chia seeds in water. Bought them from TJ's to eat in my yogurt cups and add to smoothies. Noticed one glass with water in it had green strings. Was confuzzled until I saw green strings sprouted from chia seeds. Kinda cool. Btw, those seeds mixed with coconut milk and a bit of honey make a tasty pudding :).
