About Me

i've been having problems with one of my eyes...i didn't realize how bad it was until it started affecting my work and my swapping...but i just had some growths removed my my inner eyelid and already feel that this is going to do the trick. it's all healing now so it's a little slow going as, but i am not flaking on anyone right now...i am working on getting all of this done and the dr. promises it will be a quick recovery and my vision should be back to how it was a few months ago very quickly!

I love making fun little crafty things usings lots of different techniques...sewing, crewel, papier mache, beading...it's all so fun! I really try to re-use all sorts of found or thrifted items...(yay for recycled art!) and am stoked for any "excuse" to make new little treasures.

Favorite Music

old school punk/ska, twangy country from back in the day, waver/goth stuff from the 80's, glam rock, blues, rockabilly.

Favorite Movies

ooooh, I love horror movies...silly old ones, campy zombie stuff, creepy japanese....I adore the genre. Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Michel Gondry, Wes Anderson and Jean Cocteau all rock my world!

things that make me twitchy...

um, sorry...I can't really deal with anything: *cutesy country (but vintage by way of minnie pearl is very ok) *chocolate...lol, I know I'm a freak, but I don't like it much. *anything mean...,you can be a hater, I just don't need to know about it. *floral smells=instant headache.....but fruity smells make me very happy :) *I am really sensative to anything with lanolin so please try not to send me any kind of lotions or balms with it (seriously...I get really bad hives!!) *really right wing stuff...I'm the product of a hippie, communes and all....I totally wear tie-dyes and birks and eat granola :)

I tend to geek out over....

I love anything to do with the outdoors and nature and all that stuff!!

I love to cook, bake and eat!! I love crazy recipes and weird foods that I've never tried before.

I read pretty much anything 'cept romance and westerns. Big fan of graphic novels. Zines are very cool. I am so glad to live in Portland have access to Powells...the best bookstore ever!

Robots, zombies, pirates, monkeys, octopi, the creature from the black lagoon...skulls, socks, tattoos, tea (loose and bag), coffee, yarn, thread, fabric, papers, googly eyes...It's pretty hard not to make me happy :)

***If you took the time to make it, I am 100% sure that I'll love it!

It seems because of the weird glitch with the India goddesses/gods swap, it isn't showing my comment with the rating! Grrr. Anyway, I really loved the Hanuman card, it is beautifully painted and the felt ornament is awesome too!!! :-)
