No -- gasp! -- I have never competed, but I have observed three hot dog-eating contests, one cannoli-eating contest, one deep fried asparagus-eating contest, one chopped liver-eating contest, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others. Each event, as I'm sure you'd expect, was equal parts fascinating and disgusting.
