About Me

I am a 38 year old Teacher and mother of 3. I have been married for 15 years to my high school sweetheart and have three beautiful kids with him. I have a 12 yr old on named Ian, 9 yr old daughter named Maren and a 7 yr old named Nora. I have been the K-12 art teacher at Coon Rapids-Bayard CSD for 2 yrs.
As far as education have my Fine Arts Degree from Iowa State University(2001) and Art Ed degree from UNI (2002). I have a new found obsession in the Artist trading cards. I look forward to getting cards from all over the world and seeing what kinds of mediums they use.

Favorite Music

I am a Whitney Houston Fan. My husband makes fun of me because of it, but I have loved her music since I was in 3rd grade.

This is US is my current FAVORITE show, I like to binge watch Netflix from time to time.

Favorite Books

I read the weird books. John Saul is my all time favorite author. Dean Koontz and Stephen King are ones that I have read in some of my free time. I miss my alone time to read.

Arts

I have a new found love for the ATC's. previous to that I loved to paint. I consider my self a painter. I like BIG paintings, so the ATC's are the opposite of what I usually do. Nupastels are an awesome product that I have mastered. they are a Chalk pastel that falls between Conte' and chalk pastel.

Favorite color: Olive Green Favorite food: Ice Cream Favorite animal: Hedgehogs Favorite medium: in big artwork, acrylic paint and nupastels. In ATC, so far it is SHARPIES.

Response: I get my stamps from catslifepress.com. . .I am hoping for some new atc stamps soon :) Maybe I should email and request that . . . hmmmm. :)

Thanks again for the lovely ATC - My Sweden. When we (I and my husband) saw it we really thought you did a great job. It was all there: the meatballs of course, the Swedish Fans with their viking caps, the water and ABBA. The meatballs is exactly the way we eat them - not boiled into the sauce... I can't pick a fav. part of the ATC, I loved that you had a really good mix. THANKS A LOT for all the work you put into it!!
