I am a retired teacher aide in junior high. I substitute teach in my local school district as often as I can. I have a B.S. in Education and am certified to teach junior high-high school. I have three children and six grandchildren. I live in a very small community, but have spent several years in Georgia and North Carolina.

1/22/23 I will be limiting the amount of swaps that I will be hosting/joining. The cost of postage has driven this decision. I have a very nit-picky post office and they like the first class package option which is almost $5. Anything I feel needs to be checked is automatically determined to be a package. I am frustrated because when I receive a swap with two stamps and it goes through…that would cost me $5. No consistency! If extras will cost you extra postage, please do not include. Goodies are appreciated, but I’m all for postal savings. Creating the swap is what it’s all about!😊

PERSONAL GOALS

I never create just for myself, so for 2023 I decided it was time to join in some challenges. So I have decided to try the following two so far….

• 12/14/22 I have joined in on Junk Journal January with @megjournals on YouTube. Can’t wait to get started. Looks like fun! Guest designers will be providing so much inspiration.

• 12/21/22 Joining in on the @sweetbeepaperco collage playing card challenge. A prompt a week for a year…and it’s collaging…my fav!!!!

I have met some very lovely swappers on this site. Even though we haven’t met in person, I feel I have friends here. I have been given encouragement, advice, and have received swaps and goodies that have brought tears of joy to my eyes. It can be a very special place!

I love to create but sometimes have no one to share anything with so I thought a swap group would be the answer. I really am enjoying the fact that I can pick and choose my interests and when I want to swap. I love the mail when it arrives and the beautiful creations made for me. I love trying new things to create as long as I can view a picture or tutorial.
