Hi there!
Here in Finland military service is mandatory to men, but they can also choose non-military service, which basically means working in "boring/low-paying" jobs without getting paid. For women military service is optional and womens interest to army grows every year.
I have always thought it would be something I would like: same uniform and orders to everybody, routines, camping in woods, hard training etc.
And in army I found out shooting and guns are like the coolest thing ever! I really enjoyed it, because it's something special you can't do in civilian life, outside of the army.
Still I'm very girly by my looks - I only wear dresses and skirts, I have long blond hair and I like to do strong cat eye - eye make up etc.
This autumn I'm starting to study at university. I'm going to study "science of religions", which studies all religions and cultures around the world. I have also decided that I might take philosophy to my minor. When I graduate, I'm going to be Master of Arts, but imo the better actual translation to it from Finnish is actually Master of Philosophy.
I know it's just a useless profession, but I find it very interesting and something I really want to study. After all I still think I want to be author/journalist/photographer, "when I grow up". :)

I must say, seems like we are very much alike! I also like very much Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters! I think, english literature is a great subject to study!
Also Disney!! Jaii!! Actually I have a friend who grew up without television, so she knows nothing about the beauty, that is Disney. Haha. Me and some friends are no having Disney movie-evenings every month (feel free to join, if you are ever in Munich ;-) )
I could go on a bit how I also love Sherlock, but I do not want to spam all over your wall haha!

Hi, Rebecca! This is my comment for the swap EASY: Profile Comment #4...I also have a love for cats. I actually have 5 cats, Checkers, Miracle, Dagwood, Blondie and Missy. Miracle is Checkers baby. Miracle is going to be two years old in July. She still acts like a kitten getting into everything. Miracle came a few months before our cat Dusty passed away. We got Dusty after he was hit by a car. He lost the tip of his ear and we eventually had to amputate one of his legs due to a crushed paw. He eventually gave up on life and stopped eating and drinking and passed away. So very sad. Miracle makes it easier, but I still miss him. I noticed that you enjoy snail mail. I live in the USA. Would you be interested in being pals? My birthday is tomorrow. Guess what? I was an April Fool's baby. Cool, huh?
