lol lets see how many people get their thongs in a bunch and say its not a well deserved /legit swap and all the huup-la to meet certain requirements ...I know someone will find something wrong with us doing this ...but oh well im willing to help out those who are just starting out ... |

I don't see how anyone could think that these swaps wouldn't be well-deserved or legitimate. I find it to be much more legitimate than an e-mail swap. You're actually swapping 'goods' and I believe that's what people are concerned with..."newbies" actually following through on sending material goods. Not quite ready to offer up my services, but great idea OG and good luck with it everyone! |

I'm willing to swap both internationally and domestically for profile goodies. Hopefully this will encourage newbies to make sure their profiles are completely filled out. *I'm always up for swapping shotglasses, and stationary so if some olbies also want to swap just let me know what you want in return. :) |

I doubt anyone would disapprove of such a good idea. I don't have many hearts (cue violins) because I haven't done that many swaps - I'm European, not fond of Kawaii, crap at crochet and I don't collect ATCs, although I do enjoy making them (yup, weird). Mainly, I struggle to find swaps I really want to (and can) do. I do a bit of sewing, work with polymer clay, make stamps & notecards and have a seemingly endless amount of craft supplies to swap with any newbie that fancies bolstering both our ratings. |

I'm willing to swap internationally and domestically for profile goodies, but can probably be persuaded to swap other things (eg tea, candy, any craft stuff) Ask, the worst I will do is say 'sorry, can't do it' |

I would be willing to help out, but what I personally would like to do, is I will send my swap, when I receive the swap first. I like fancy paper, loose tea, note cards. I would prefer just Canada for now, till I see how it goes. Hope I can help! |

I'm willing to swap domestically with newbies, internationally for smaller goodies. profile surprises I no longer swap ATCs or matchboxes and I am limited on handmade items. More specifically, I can only sew right now and all my sewing is focused on quilts for my kids!! |

I think it is a great idea, and when I am caught up, I'll offer too. Actually, I have only banned myself from handmade swaps till I catch up, so if any newbie is prepared to trade with me for UK items, postcards, candy/chocolate or craft supplies in return for profile items, contact me and see if we can arrange something. Later I will consider handmade trades too. |

Great idea! I'm more than happy to swap for ATCs, ATC supplies, postcards and sticker flakes. I can't offer anything else handmade as I am overcomitted already :) |

I'm willing to swap domestically for sewing and stitching related things, fabric, fibers, beads, buttons, pincushions, etc. I can't manage much more beyond the formal swaps and angel packages I've already committed to. |

As of February 1 (I leave shortly on holidays) I would be willing to swap with newer members anywhere in the world for anything that I can do, or have already swapped for, as documented anywhere on my profile page. I will have to limit this to one swap at a time (first come, first served, to be fair) so please don't be offended if I have to decline. Great idea to start this thread Grace! |

BTW: I really really like it when someone does something instead of just bitching. Good one Grace...Your forum tag is in the mail manana m'dear. |

I dunno if this would help or not but....I thought I'd start a list of experienced (ie well-rated, been around the block)swappers who are willing to do private one on one swaps with newbies to help them get rated.
Many of the public swaps here require a minimum number of swaps and a min rating to join so it can be tough for newbies to get started.
If you are an experienced swapper willing to do a private one on one trade, please post here. Please post what you are interested in swapping and if you are willing to send internationally.
If you are a newbie, please make sure you have a fully filled out profile, then please pm anyone on this list who is interested in swapping what you are interested in swapping. Or post what you are wanting to swap and if you are US domestic or international.
There is no obligation on either person's behalf to agree to a swap, but it might be nice to have a list to help newbies out!
I'll start:
I'm willing to swap with newbies internationally for:
* ATCS
* handmade notecards
* int'l ephemera (money, text, papers)
I'm willing to swap with newbies domestically for:
* ATCS * Handmade notecards, earrings/jewelry, matchboxes * candy or gum
* glass beads, brads, and other small scrapbooking supplies
Please pm me to arrange a swap! Thanks!
