Description:

The challenge: Divide your ATC into 6 1" squares. In the upper left corner, tangle a 'named' pattern from TanglePatterns.com. Then fill the rest of the squares with your variations on the theme. One partner, one ATC, plus a letter explaining your thoughts, feelings as you complete this challenge -- which did you like the best? Which didn't you like so much and why?

Example: The photo is of the 'Diamonds & Squares' pattern from the website. I loved this one because it's very quilty, but just looking at it I didn't know where to begin. But by the time I finished the original pattern square, I knew what my next one was going to be, and so on. Could have done 10 more!!! To me, the squares were screaming for color...

Open to all, I will angel if necessary. But I hope that it will not be necessary.

You are so right!! I started a tangle and soon had more than I needed. Great idea.

For the mini-sampler swap, I received an ATC with 6 'line' patterns on it. It is beautiful. So feel free to do variations on a line rather than a block if you want to. An example of a 'line' pattern is 'JAX' on TanglePatterns.com.
