Chunky houses are so cute. Here are some examples for those who have not seen them before:

Now that you know what they are, here is the swap details:
You will make one chunky house for your one partner. This is a series of swaps, where we will make one a month..based on a monthly theme. You can participate in every month or just choose the months that you would like to participate. The theme schedule is posted in our group forum.

November's Chunky House theme is: Profile Specific.......you look at your partner's profile and then create a house based on things they enjoy...for instance, you could pick their favorite color, or a specific element like elephants, or some combination of their likes.

For these swaps, our Chunky Houses have a width of 3-6 inches. The height can vary between 4-8 inches. The base should be a semi hard surface, like a recycled cereal box, other food packaging or card board, etc. Of course, you can use all recyceld items if you want to. The shape of the roof line is also up to you, so make house shapes in any style that you like. Please layer papers, embellishments, paints, ribbons/laces, photos, fabrics, fibers, polymer clay, paper clay, and whatever else you like to make your house out of. You can optionally, decorate the back side also though that is not required. Please sign and date the backs of the houses. Have fun making these cool little houses!

Please have a filled out profile, and no recent unexplained low ratings. This is an International swap, as mailing a small paper house should not cost that much.

As a side Note: I have loved all of the houses I have received. They have been fantastic. I would love to see your creations. You can share them with us by posting them in our new flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/craftyrecyclers/

Just to be sure that I understand, chunky houses are made with recyclable things and are made thick with different things like buttons or whatever to make them "chunky". Am I correct?

Yes, you can add stuff to your house to make it chunky.
