Description:

In this swap, you will create a craft based on a book you've recently read. You will also include a review of the book in a note to your partner. You can be as simple or creative as you'd like in your craft---as long as you create something that shows you've put your best effort into it and that you make something you'd be delighted to receive if it were mailed to you!

Basic Steps:

  1. Read a book.

  2. Write a review with a brief summary and your opinions about the book. Try not to include important spoilers!

  3. Create a gift based on the book's characters, theme, setting, etc.

  4. Mail it to your partner on or before the swap date.

Participants must have completed at least 3 Type 3 swaps and have no unexplained 1s or 3s.

There is quite a bit of time between the sign up date and the swap date so you will have time to read your book and create your craft. I am hoping to host this monthly.

Please let me know if there are any questions...this is my first time hosting a swap so I'm not sure if I've left out any vitally important information!

As soon as I read this swap title, I thought of you. And then I saw that you were the host! hehe Watching it for now. If you are hosting it monthly, then i will definitely give it a go one of these months. :)

That's the sign of a true best friend! Love it! :)

I'm not reading much at the moment, but I would love to see a swap like this again in a month or two!

Great, Vegfox...I'm hoping to keep it going if there's enough interest! :)

I am interested but all I can think of to make is an ATC and if my partner doesn't like ATC's then they won't like what they get. The reason I say this is cuz I read true crime.

Kevsbabe: Anyone who signs up for this swap should go into it expecting to receive a thoughtful gift. This can be something as small as an ATC---many people, including myself, would be thrilled to have an ATC for their collection! Please join---I'd love to have you in the swap!

I edited the sign up deadline to allow for more of the watchers to sign up over the weekend!

My craft is cross-stitch so I hope that is okay with who I get. ;0)

Sounds great, jandmterry! Guess I better decide on mine too! :)

I don't think there is "quite a lot of time" between the sign-up date and the swap deadline. Not for reading a book and completing a craft!

What I meant was, there was a lot of time between the date I first advertised this swap and the send date...I should have worded that differently. I first listed this swap on the 5th November. Even so, there's still 2 weeks between the sign up deadline and the send date. I will word it more clearly for the December swap. Thanks for pointing that out, minniemack!
