Description:

So I thought this would be a good way to share/try techniques on ATC's that would inspire us to use them in future projects.

For this one you must create one ATC for each of your partners. This ATC must use a needle to "braille" a design into your somewhat sturdy form of transparent-ish paper that will be glued down on to a ATC type heavier stock that is colored so it shows through.

Sender's choice, so you don't have to wait till you get partners and you should be able to send early. Also, make something you would like to receive.

Must have at least 10 snail mail swaps under your belt, extensively filled out profile and a 4.9 or higher rating. Profiles will be checked.

Watching for now, this sounds neat. Do you happen to have a link to the technique? I'd like to see a sample so I am sure I have the right idea.

yeah i am kind of wondering that myself, i think i have an idea of what you mean. I just want to be extra sure its what this technique is. Willing to give it a shot regardless. :D

Please google "paper pricking pictures" on goggle as I got this idea out of a book I was browsing in a bookstore. I hope this was helpful. cheers

Hey all It's getting busy for me so I am moving all my swap dates up a bit instead of canceling. Thanks for understanding.

Does the top layer have to be semi-transparent? I was trailing and have found that regular paper over a black/dark paper looks fine... but I don't want to get a 3 for using it.

What size needle are you using? I have tried a few things to "punch" and I am not thrilled with most of the size/shape holes. I don't want to buy something just to test this out, so I am hoping I have something around that I have just not thought of. Thanks

typo: that should be trialing or testing, not trailing the technique!

Hello:

1 - yes the paper should be semi transparent. I recommend using thinner paper like a light colored velum type. Or I would oil the regular paper and dry it so it becomes transparent.

2- Regular sewing needles are fine because the tip to the body of these needles will give you different sizes.

Just remember everyone this is almost new to all of us. The purpose of these ATC exercises is to flex our creativity and techniques so we all can make and receive wonderful ATC's for the future.
