This swap is to give us a fast start with Mandala concepts and start to get to know each other. This swap is not going to have a lot of rules. I am going to suggest, give guidelines for you to fallow. You will know its suitable to send to your swap partner when done you don't want to part with it. Scan it, take a picture of it for yourself then mail your art. The Mandala will be a circle and should be 5 inches or larger on heavy sketch, drawing paper or card stock. Use colored pencils or permanent inks, neat and clean. Be as precise or as loose as you want with this first swap. Use a ruler and a protractor to make your mandala circle or a bowl and eyeball the segments you will fill with your designs. Mandalas have a symmetry and balance. Let the designs flow as with a Zentangle. Make a circle divided in 6 -8 segments. Something like petals in a flower. Use colors, symbols, tangles that have meaning for you. Don't forget your name, contact information and name of the swap on the back. Please include any special meaning your Mandala may have.
