Description:

For this swap you will be creating a chain! You will make a swap box containing FOUR suitably steampunk goodies. This could be crafting supplies of a steampunk nature, books, jewelry, ATCs, greeting cards, toys, accessories, novelties, geekery, antiques and vintage items, art, anything you think a steampunk would enjoy.

You will send this box to your partner, who will remove as many items as they wish, For every item you remove, you must replace it with another item! So if you took out a bag of vintage lace, a copy of H.G. Wells Time Machine and an ATC, you would put in three items. You can claim the whole box, but then you must replace all four items!

Once you have taken the items you wanted, and everyone has sent/received, I will reassign partners again. I will do this four times, so the boxes should have traveled around quite a bit! When we have sent the last, fourth, box, you keep everything in it :)

You must be committed to sending all four parts of the chain. Anyone backing out of this series halfway through will be booted from the group as a flaker, so make sure you are fully committed.

Make sure all items are AWESOME and things you would love to recieve, this means no junk and and no inappropriate items (like shiny pink bunny stickers or whatever).

Due to the international nature of this swap, please do NOT send food, drink or any other plant or animal matter that customs might swipe!

If you have any other questions, please get in touch at any point in time :)

Hi, I am just wondering if there should be a money, weight or size limit for each of the four items we put in the box.

I would like to say that I am new to knowing about steampunk and if I have put something inappropriate to the swap in the box it would be nice if get notified on swap-bot message before getting a low rating, so that I can change the item

hi - I'm just about to send out my first 'box'.

The first round I received was not in an actual physical box, so I was wondering, are other people sending theirs out in actual boxes or not? I was going to send mine in a box (a small-ish sturdy cardboard one), but this will increase the weight - so do people mind that? I suppose if the recipient likes the box, then they could keep that too and replace it?

@katypila - hi, I guess there isn't a limit, but it's up to you how heavy the items should be to send - personally, with the international addresses, I'm going to keep the items as light in weight as possible, though still nice items of course!
