Description:

For this swap you will have one partner.
You are going to send one postcard to him or her.
You will design the front of the postcard and place a secret on it.
It can be something funny, something sad, a memory, something you regret, a missed chance, a dream, a fear,… anything! (As long as it’s true and you’ve never told it anyone.)

You can use any technique or method you want to design the front of your card (altered text, blacking out art, collages,… even sewing! Use pictures, photos, illustrations, stickers, whatever you want!)

It does not have to be a masterpiece, but try to make it look interesting for your partner.

In short:
-buy or make one postcards
-place a secret on the front of it
-make it look interesting by using nice materials, techniques, illustrations, photos,…
-mail it (naked, or if you fear it might be damaged with envelope) to your partner
-don’t forget to rate your partner
-be discreet and make sure not to reveal your partners secret (for example in the rating)!

Please note:
You decide what to write, but please don't be too creepy (this is not the place to confess an awful crime or talk about too private things between you and your spouse ;) You might receive a secret that could possibly be offensive to you. By signing up for this swap you promise not to share/ reveal your partners secret. Also you should not contact him/ her and talk about the secret. This swap is not about skills and masterpieces of beautiful mail-art… be fair and don’t rate down if you don’t think a postcard looks artistic or great enough..

If you need some examples

No 1's or recent 3's. I will allow newbies with well filled out profiles, and at least five completed and rated swaps. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I will angel if you don’t receive something from your partner.

This is only a good idea when no one can ever track the sender under any circumstances or have further communication that might hurt one or more of the parties. Secrets are just that - and should remain so. It may be liberating for many to "tell" a deep secret under secure parameters, so consider running this type of thing on your blog, where people mail anonymously to a POBOX and you display the art for all to see. Just my two cents ...

Well I did this swap before and people seemed to like it. Some swappers even asked me to host the swap again, so I did.
You don't need to write your deepest secret... I joined and hosted swaps like this before and saw secrets like "I hate my friends perfume but am too chicken to tell her" and "I found the ring before my hubby asked me" or "I think my friends blog is lame" and things like that.
So yeah you are right, this is not the place to share about your criminal past or something like this, but in the end everyone decides what to write and what to keep a secret. It's totally fine if you share the job you secretly wanted to have when you were a child, or the fact that you secretly don't like your new friends haircut, or that you don't like the present your son made you for your birthday. I think stuff like this won't hurt anyone.

I am awfully sorry I couldn't assign partners within the first two days,... I was in hospital. But I assigned them on thursday and sent out an email.
