Squares are to be 6'x6' (6 inchx6inch)

any colour, any style (this means it doesn't have to be a traditional granny square style)

Though you may ask your partner if they are looking for a particular colour of square.

i plan on trying to host one of these every month :D so feel free to keep an eye out for them

note: i am just calling it granny squares as i know of no other name to call them, samplers? call it what you want :D

another note: please remember that there are those out there who like myself do not have a wide variety of colours to choose from to knit, we will try to get the colours to what you are requesting in the comments, but please remember, yarn does cost money, and not everyone has the money to buy new colours on a whim. thanks for reading this little note at the bottom.

Final Note: 1 Square per partner, if you wish to send more than one, you ROCK!

How do you knit a granny square? Does anyone have a pattern? Are these just knitted 6 inch blocks? I would prefer crocheted with at least 5 rows of crochet but if my partner wants knitted I can knit a 6 inch square, I'm just not sure what a knitted granny square is.

@LilyM i usually find a nice pattern i like for a scarf and just knit it to make it a 6x6 inch square, i have some nice ones send me a message if you are interested in seeing some of the patterns i have used in the past

Thank you efjellro but those are crochet patterns and I have made plenty of crocheted granny square afghans my question was on the knit ones which must just be a 6 inch knitted square that can be joined together to make a blanket.

I think maybe our partners should let us know which of the two they prefer (Knit or Crochet) I have never joined the two together. I have made one out of knitted squares and joined together by crocheting but have never mixed the two types.

if that's the case i apologize to my partner as i can only knit and cannot crochet to save my llife

And I apologize for requesting crocheted squares from a partner that may only knit so I guess this swap is not for me. I could only make a pot holder or a pillow from knitted squares and I'm not in need of neither plus I don't prefer to mix the two types.

@lilyM if i get you i can just include a square from my collection
